Our Mission
- To be a part of a forum to discuss and act on common issues affecting Blacks and Black Communities.
- To merge ideas, resources, skills and notions to advance Blacks social, economically, and politically.
- To help develop a UNIFIED agenda for Blacks in Manatee County
- To learn more about the political process, be a part of sharing knowledge with others,and to help Black voters make themost of their vote.
- To network and build relationships with persons of similar interests.
Legislative Action
Lobby Days - 2019
Democratic Black Caucus members met with legislators and aides from the offices of Rep Wengay Newton, Rep Margaret Good, Rep. Diane Hary, Sen. Joe Gruters, Rep. Bush, Sen. Galvano, and Sen Darryl Rouson. We also met with Desmond Meade, Director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, and Manatee County Reggie Bellamy.
